A firm favourite at rustic and vintage events, our British made vintage folding chairs can’t be bought off the shelf, they have to be collected over time. They are a solid part of history and, dating back to the 1950s, have clocked up an impressive 70 years of service - some have the date stamp to prove it. We have folding chairs in three colourways - natural wood, pastel and white.

Traditional inhabitants of village halls, church rooms and schools, our natural wooden chairs are the oldest of our folding chairs and are full of history. They have various marks and initials inscribed on them denoting their provenance - who knows what tale they could tell! These lovely things have been kept in their original condition with a natural wooden finish. Unlike our white and pastel folding chairs, these are all exactly the same design and date from the same period.

Each chair measures 58cm deep by 47cm wide by 80cm high when assembled. The seat height is 43cm, the ideal height for feasting, which makes them a perfect pairing with our trestle tables. They fold flat - to 86cm deep by 46cm wide by 5cm deep - for stacking and easy transportation.

The chairs are weatherproof and so happy to be used inside or out.

Aside from recreating a scene from a 1950s style film, these chairs go well with all sorts of themes. Lined up in a woodland venue they make for a dreamy ceremony setup in perfect harmony with the surroundings. For added detail why not style the backs with some elegantly tied on flowers and pretty ribbon? Vintage style summer fetes also draw out the character of these chairs - team them up with some of our traditional games. It is also important to note that because they are all the same design these chairs stack reasonably well, making that all important ‘move the chairs to make a dance floor’ process much easier.
